So ive been doing some thinking about my army life. Not much, mostly while im sleeping. And yeah, ive gt other stuff to think about while doing that but whatever. Ok, I realised that i weren't really happy last year about being stuck in army, and kinda sorted several ways for me to downpes. Sometimes i hate being a guy (k rarely), and quite frequently, i hate it tt others can downpes with minor injuries that they quite possibly can't even feel it at all and cos of tt they get an admin job and get to do stuff like use internet the entire day. Jealous, and pissed at myself that, well, im not so lucky.
But i realised this hatred kinda subsided as time passes by. Getting used to it? And maybe there are several things about army that u and i are enjoying, that you possibly wun notice it cos of whatever reasons. Maybe as human beings we kinda notice the negative stuff and less the positive things in our lives.
And it's true. You dun notice how important your mom is to you and the little things she does and when she, say, cooks something you hate you go rambling about it non-stop.
I don't do that btw. Im an optimistic guy and i love my mom.
Point is, because of army, i met nice, funny, smart, sometimes rude rowdy people whom i became friends with. I met different people, with completely different characters. And it's hard to use a single word to describe their characters, but i like them. im not totally sure all of them's going to be friends for life, but im sure they added tons of fun and excitement to my army life.
Because of army ive learnt tons of stuff. This isn't really important cos im not going to use most of wad i learn anyway. Im toking about stuff like breaking track cleaning arms blah blah blah.
Ive become more responsible i think. But in some ways ive become more streetsmart. I used to do things strictly by the book. K, kinda cliche. But ive learnt that you can be responsible and chao keng at the same time. Yeah, do what u are supposed to do, but do it with minimum effort and time. I think that's something ive learnt.
Long story, but thanks to army, ive found the best, nicest, warmest girlfriend any guy can have.
Maybe if you take a more positive view it can help you quite a bit. To all enlistees and my army peers out dere.
And don't downpes. My buddy just did. Now i have to carry the shared field pack and bangalore by myself.
